Western Lights brought real magic to downtown Reno
By Jerry Snyder: The weather forecast had me worried. Last year’s Western Light Festival in downtown Reno drew more than 70,000 people looking at illuminated art and dancing to music in the streets, but the weather was unbelievably pleasant for February. The weekend before the festival opened this year, the weatherman forecasted a cold and snowy Western Lights. I wasn’t sure people would come out in that. Hell, I wasn’t sure that I would come out in that. Still, on Wednesday myself and my crew set up our art project and hoped that the snow wouldn’t be so bad.
