Rumbo Tumba

Rumbo Tumba is the electroacoustic music project of Argentine multi-instrumentalist Facundo Salgado, who masterfully fuses South American folklore with modern electronic production. As a “one-man orchestra,” Salgado plays, records, and mixes an impressive array of handcrafted wooden instruments native to South America in real-time using live looping techniques, blending traditional Andean sounds with urban beats like dub, hip-hop, and house.

Since 2012, Rumbo Tumba has toured over 30 countries across all continents, captivating audiences with performances that transport them to the purest places in nature. His music has been featured in Apple TV’s documentary series “Long Way Up” with Ewan McGregor, and he’s amassed over 250,000 monthly listeners worldwide. With an independent discography including 2 LPs and 4 EPs, Salgado continues to bridge the gap between mountains and cities, earth and asphalt, wood and electricity.
