Isaac “Funksalot” Freed is a Reno-based DJ, producer, and musical director who founded Music in Tahoe in 2008. An accomplished vocalist, guitarist, and bassist with decades of experience as a touring musician and DJ, Funksalot lives and breathes grooves found only on the mothership. He immerses audiences in a world where the bass is rich and the beats are relentless, specializing in dirty, funky, late-night vibes with remixes and mashups that bring the party.

His DJ sets span multiple genres—from hip-hop and house to reggaeton and funk—creating energized experiences he calls “Banger City.” Funksalot has performed at festivals including The Golden Road Gathering alongside acts like Five Alarm Funk and March Fourth Marching Band. His collaborative series “Love Languages” with wife Allie features beautiful, melodic blends designed to inspire. With 2 turntables, 10 fingers, and 11 toes, Funksalot’s passion for music and the power of heavy low end is evident in every performance.
