Anthony Postman
Anthony Postman is a veteran backing musician, music instructor, DJ, and niche music editor/writer/photographer who has been creating momentum as a solo performer and songwriter. After 25+ years of teaching and playing experience—earning six “Best of Northern Nevada” awards from Reno News & Review as music instructor—Postman has turned his focus to writing, performing, and producing his own original music. His sound captures intimate reflections of life, love, tribulation, and social commentary, echoed with hopeful notes in a stylish blend of reggae, acoustic, and jazz influences.
Postman’s original works concentrate on songwriting as the central basis, with themes of resilience, shared humanity, and environment engendering a sense of hope, connection, and community. He has opened for major acts including Skip and Stephen Marley at Robert Z. Hawkins Amphitheater, and performed at Reno Farm Aid benefitting Reno Food Systems. Through soulful presence, bold possibility, and honest artistry, Anthony Postman invites listeners into vibrant soundscapes and engaging storytelling where beat and movement meet subtlety and beauty.
