
NiNo Alicea
Born and raised in Puerto Rico, NiNo began his artistic journey early, earning a BA in Fine Arts and Graphic Design from IPFW. After relocating to Los Angeles, he established himself as a highly regarded Production Designer and Art Director, working across TV, film, music videos, and international music tours.In 2015, NiNo made history as the first Puerto Rican artist to present an installation at the renowned Burning Man event with Got Framed. He was awarded the Honoraria Art Grant in 2017 for his celebrated piece, MÚCARO. His large-scale installations continued with ATABEY’s Treasure in 2023. And most recently, in 2024, he unveiled the world’s largest COQUÍ, which won Best of Show at the Reno Tahoe International Art Show. NiNo’s community outreach program, Múcaro’s Rising, received international acclaim, being recognized as one of CODAworx Awards’ Top 100 Commissioned Art Pieces globally. His passion lies in creating spaces that inspire thought, spark meaningful conversations, and empower communities to dream big, create, and thrive.
