Last year, more than 60k people came together in downtown Reno to experience something magical: 35 large-scale illuminated artworks, 70+ performers, local food trucks, and so much more over three fantastical evenings of family-friendly fun, all free of charge!
Now, we’re ready to bring back Western Lights even bigger and brighter – but we need your help.
Western Lights is Reno’s first-ever illuminated art festival, designed to light up the Biggest Little City with an extraordinary blend of light, art, and technology. Produced by the renowned Grand Artique and set against the vibrant backdrop of Reno’s historic downtown, this festival transforms familiar streets into an open-air gallery of glowing installations. Each piece celebrates creativity and innovation, inviting attendees to wander through dazzling displays, interactive exhibits, and immersive experiences that pay homage to Reno’s unique culture and artistic roots.

Western Lights invites artists, vendors, and volunteers to be a part of this luminous journey. Whether you’re a local artist looking to showcase your work, a vendor wanting to share your products, or a volunteer or sponsor eager to help bring the festival to life, there’s a place for you here. Join us in creating an unforgettable event celebrating art, technology, and community.
