The Fractal Florist

Alyssa is a dynamic and evolving artist with a deep belief in the power of art to unite communities. She started her business “The Fractal Florist” combining her love for woodworking, glass, epoxy and natural foliage. When presented with the opportunity to design and build her first large-scale art installation it ignited a passion for immersive and community-focused artwork, and since then, large-scale installations have become the core goal of her artistic practice.

She finds joy and purpose in seeing how fellow onlookers interact with her work, and she is committed to continuing to evolve and push the boundaries of her artistic vision. As she looks ahead, it is her hope that this is just the beginning of her journey as an artist, and eager to explore new opportunities and collaborations that will allow her to share her vision with a broader audience.

Disco Snail

“Disco Snail” is designed to combine visual glee at first glance, and then a desire to further explore and investigate, and in doing so, invokes shared feelings of childlike playfulness and freedom of the wild imagination. It’s framework is made of metal, plaster and tile, while the shell is mostly composed of recycled plexiglass that has a prismatic/iridescent effect. By night, interior dynamic lighting create a similar effect to that of a mesmerizing kaleidoscope.

Promise of the decade

“Promise of the Decade” is an installation that has been admired for its unique shape, and detailed panels depicting 5 animals for each 5 main panels, giraffe, orcas, hummingbirds, cobra, and unicorn. The fluorescent paint is reactive to black lights and makes the images glow vibrantly.
